Is Financing Available?
We have partnered with Hearth Financial to get you in-house financing as quickly and painlessly as possible and we will be bringing on additional partners in the future to provide you with more options.
What kind of Home Insurance is available?
It depends on the type of Unit. If the Unit is a stand alone on your land and is under 1,000 square feet on the foundation/piers, you can get a Homeowner’s Policy. If it is an ADU/Granny Flat on your property and is under 1,000 square feet, you would include it under your Primary Homeowner’s Policy. If it is over 1,000 square feet, it will require a stand alone Homeowner’s Policy. You should confirm this information with your Local Insurance Provider.
How long does it take to build my Container Home?
From the date we start the construction process the build out is 8-10 weeks. Custom Homes take longer depending on the size and complexity.
Are Container Homes and Spaces allowed in all cities?
Check with your local City Zoning Commission and let them know you want to place a ‘modular’ home on your property. It is important to indicate it is a modular home as zoning commissions don’t understand the language ‘Shipping Container Homes’.
What states do you deliver to?
All contiguous States in the United States, not including Alaska and Hawaii.
Do the Container Homes undergo a Building Inspection?
Yes all homes undergo a NOAH Inspection. Each NOAH RDI Certified Structure meets safety, structural, and energy efficiency standards.
What needs to be done to install this on my land?
You will need the following: Foundation/Piers, Electrical Hook-Up, Sewage Hook-up, and Water Line Hook-Up.
What is the cost for delivery?
It varies greatly by location. We will be happy to get you in contact with a freight specialist.
Where can I put my Container Home?
Container Homes can be placed anywhere normal homes can be. They can be placed on vacant land, resort and vacation sites, backyards, and so much more. They are the ideal structure for almost any location. Check with your city for local zoning and set back details.
What is the electrical requirement for these homes?
Homes will be pre-wired with an Electrical Panel for the required load for your Contractor to hook-up.
How do you connect your container home to utilities?
Contact a local contractor(s) to assist you with the final hook-up.
What type of A/C comes with these homes?
Mr. Cool mini-split high energy efficiency systems are available in different SEER ratings to fit your needs.
What is the warranty on the house, how long does it last, and what does it cover?
The warranty from the builder is a 15-year Structural Warranty, One-year leak warranty, and a thirty-day cosmetic warranty. However, many of the fixtures used in the construction of the home (for example, appliances like the AC unit, dishwasher, stove, water heater, etc.) are warrantied for longer periods of time by their manufacturers. Be sure to register your warranties when the home is delivered.
What code are your homes built to?
Our homes are built to the IRC (International Residential Code) standards.
